optics and design - brand aesthetic and workspace design - work your best magic, not your quickest

young minds - “does-everything” career jumpstarting hub for ppl recently out of uni or even who didn't make it - brainstorming places for new ideas under very low pressure, junior labs for experimenting with ideas, structuring potential ways to develop them and securing pretty generous funding!
|
|
|
|
macrodata refinement - optimizes old resource-heavy software, does company-wide server infrastructure. often works with hq, tends to makes hardware for other departments.
|
|
|
|
beige alert - hardware and software that is optimized to hell and back, eventually to phase out current product lines for an apple-y ecosystem entirely incompatible with everything else but that could weather many decades. but also for low power environments where you might go for weeks without power.
|
|
|
|
headquarters - management and economics. mandarin labs has moving chairs like valve used to but they still need to turn a profit eventually! fofo and jiji gatekeep/redirect resources so stuff that might be profitable, but they try to be generous with it.
|
|
|
|
parks and recreation - animal life and plant life research department. they make really pleasant exterior building parts, trying to make them pet and worker friendly without being too empty. works with optics and design to integrate heavy but, thanks to mr, quiet machinery into the place too.
|
|
|
|
random gods - primarily works on sanctuaryos and its variants, as well as the software that comes with it - splendid view is the media player, gem writer is the text editor, etc. it's highly robust software, comparable to a mac, that accounts for many other systems, despite being an old codebase!
|
|
|
|
goat room - evil underbelly. runs campaigns to change public opinion and lobbies in court against e.g. anti-repair laws, transphobic legislature under the guise of being completely unrelated
|
|
this has gotten ML into legal trouble numerous times and

|

|

YM - rainbow colors on off-white, akin to a polaroid
|
|
MR - purple and scarlet gradient accents to moonlight blue metal
|
|
BA - beige and faded brown. deserted wasteland more than 70's album cover

HQ - navy blue and steel, ominous warnings
|
|
PAR - bright yellow and sky blue
|
|
RG - dark grey and pink
|
|
GR - vantablack and blood red
